Under the able guidance of the President & CEO, Mrs. Aslesha Madappa and Honorary Chairman, Mr. P.P. Madappa, we have carved a niche in the food industry. Over the last more than 50 years of work experience, ABC International ( ABCI ) has handled different Commodities and Processed Products in the areas of Marketing and Exporting. These include :

Export of Coffee, Export of Rice, Export of Gherkins, Export of various Spices, Export of innumerable Processed Products and Marketing and Export of various Tamarind-based products – including Tamarind Concentrate 65 degree brix and Tamarind Concentrate 78-80 degree brix.

Quality Assurance

It is our first priority to provide quality products. Our Quality Analysts carry out regular inspections right from the fields, to ensure that from cultivation, arrival of raw materials at factory, its processing to packing of food products, etc are carried out as per GMP conditions.

Our Promoters

The professional background of the Promoters include :

1. Mrs. Aslesha Madappa – President & CEO of the Company for about 40 years. Aslesha Madappa is a rank student from Lady Shree Ram ( LSR ) College, New Delhi. She is a rank holder in the University of Delhi in 1973. Mrs Madappa is a social worker and has been part of various Women’s organisation ( AWAKE ) in Bangalore and also member of FKCCI and APEDA. She has been actively participating through FKCCI in developing young entrepreneurs into various business activities of their interests.

As of now, Mrs. Aslesha Madappa has an experience of more than 40 years in the management of a competing organisation involved in exporting of Processed Foods and Commodities and also in internal marketing with a need for frequent change in operational strategies to face competitions.

2. Mr. P.P. MADAPPA is the Honorary Chairman of ABC International. He is a business Agri (Hons.) Graduate with post-graduation in Agricultural Economics. After about 8 years of work experience, Mr. Madappa also has done his MBA from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIMA) with specialisation in Marketing, Organisational Behaviour/HR, Finance and Strategic Planning.

Mr. Madappa has worked in various organisations including, as Research Assistant in Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics, Pune for three years and as Research Associate in IIMA for four years. Mr. Madappa was CEO & Managing Director of Karnataka Antibiotics and Pharmaceuticals Limited for two terms -- 10 years. The multinational companies he worked include ITC Limited, Calcutta, STC Limited, New Delhi, Amul Milk Cooperative Society, Anand, Gujarat and for Karle Group of Companies, Bangalore as Advisor/Mentor.

As an employee of STC, ITC and MD of KAPL, Mr Madappa has extensively travelled to different countries in the world. He has got more than 55 years of work experience in managing various business activities within India and abroad.

Mr. Madappa was also involved in various NGO activities and as such, was a Promoter Director of an NGO called, Public Affairs Centre ( PAC )/ Public Affairs Foundation (PAF ). He worked free of cost for PAC for 13 years from 1994 to 2007. As a member of FKCCI and as a Director of PAC / PAF he extended his Consultancy services free of cost for many organisations.

Infrastructure

We have a well managed state-of-the-art processing unit with both, indigenous and imported machineries. These include washers, labeling machine, metal detector, pasteurizers, decoder coding machine, graders, filling machines, labeling and packing machines. We are equipped with highly qualified and experienced quality controllers who constantly keep a vigil with online sample testing. The packing lines include Jars, Cans & large HDPE barrels.
